Vega Maca uses only the finest organic Maca roots, traditionally grown in the high Andean highlands of Peru. The primary area of cultivation is the Junin plateau, 14,000 ft above sea level, towering high above the Amazon rainforest and nestled just below the glacial icecap of the Andes mountains.
A unique whole Maca root extract, Vega Maca is produced via a proprietary gelatinization process developed by researchers at the University National Agraria La Molina in Peru. Gelatinization removes the starch from Maca, thereby improving absorption and concentrating the active ingredients within. It also makes the Maca powder mix more easily into food and beverages and taste better as well.
An environmentally responsible and fair-trade product, Vega Maca features Organic Certification by the prestigious, internationally recognized Eco-Agency SKAL of the Netherlands. Vega Maca is both farmed and processed using certified organic practices.
Nutritional Panel
Dosage: Vega Maca can be taken before, with or after meals; it doesn’t really matter. The general dosage of Vega Maca ranges from 1,500mg to 10,000mg daily, best split into 2-3 servings. Vega Maca is a natural whole food, so taking less than 1,500 mg. daily may not be very effective. If you find you aren’t getting the results you want, try increasing your dosage. With Vega Maca, more is often better and scientific studies show maca to be safe at any dosage level.
Delivery Method: Vega Maca is available in vegetarian capsules and in a pure powder form. Although capsules are a convenient and popular method of delivery, they are also significantly more expensive on a per gram basis because you are paying for the additional cost of encapsulation and packaging.
